A Proven Business Builder and Strategic Advisor
Greg Park is a seasoned business leader and lifelong entrepreneur with a remarkable track record across media, merchandising, private equity, real estate, and industrial construction. From an early age, Greg showed a natural talent for enterprise—starting with a successful lawn care business in his youth that thrived on reputation and reliability. That entrepreneurial drive has followed him throughout his career, fueling ventures that span from local start-ups to global-scale operations.
Education and Early Leadership
Greg attended Brigham Young University from 1977 to 1984, where he studied Business and immersed himself in leadership and campus life. He served in student government, was president of a social club, and received a preferred walk-on letter from BYU’s head basketball coach Frank Arnold - an accomplishment that reflected his work ethic and drive. His college years helped shape a disciplined, service-minded approach to leadership that would serve him well in business and beyond. Over the years, Greg also earned professional licenses in real estate, insurance, and many certifications, demonstrating a capacity to quickly absorb knowledge and adapt to new industries. These credentials reflect his appetite for learning and versatility across sectors.
Professional Journey and Entrepreneurial Ventures
After BYU Greg began his career at Bonneville International, where he served as Director of Marking Media Intelligence, developing early insights into consumer demographics, psychographics and media engagement. He later served as a regional director for TV Guide’s School Plan, promoting national fundraising campaigns. He went on to join Sage Analytics International, where he played a key role in a major contract with American Airlines.
The initiative spanned more than one hundred airports, helping reduce ground damage to aircraft and baggage mishandling. Greg traveled extensively, gaining valuable global experience and sharpening his expertise in large-scale operations and performance systems. Greg’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found FANAMANIA, a licensed merchandise company featuring Disney, Looney Tunes, and professional sports brands.
The company formed a regional partnership with Southland Corporation (7-Eleven), acquired one of the largest silk-screening companies in the country, and eventually went public. He later became a partner of Global Gumball, home of the iconic spiral gumball machine. Originally as a top-performing public speaker and team leader, Greg returned to the company when sales had bottomed out and helped restore its momentum.
Under his leadership, Global Gumball saw international expansion and unprecedented growth in annual sales—highlighting his ability to reignite momentum and scale operations. Next, Greg launched Park Property Services, working closely with the leading office condo developer in the region. He led sales and marketing for commercial spaces, developed property management strategies, and strengthened his understanding of real estate development.
After selling the company, he joined HN Capital, a private equity firm with major national brands like Five Guys and Costa Vida in its portfolio, along with a diverse range of real estate assets. Greg then pursued a personal vision by launching The PARK-5, a boutique food and drink concept named after his five children. The business featured hand-crafted sodas, premium ice cream, and award-winning baked goods. With its nostalgic charm and modern quality, The PARK-5 grew into a successful local chain, earning accolades and a loyal customer base.
Greg ran the business for six years before selling it, having created a brand that blended family, community, and business success. Following that success, Greg joined SME Steel, one of the nation’s leading steel fabrication and erection companies, as Vice President of Business Development. His role focused on building and maintaining relationships, enhancing the company’s public image, recruiting talent, and advising on internal improvements. Greg’s ability to foster trust, both internally and externally, contributed meaningfully to SME’s reputation and long-term success.
